F-1 questions

The questions US-bound students ask first.

  • Officers assess academic fit, financial capacity, and “non-immigrant intent.” Strong ties at home (job, property, family) are the most-doubted area. We coach the interview specifically.

  • Not directly. Most OPT grads transition to H-1B (lottery) or EB-2 NIW. STEM grads have the longest runway to win a sponsor.

  • USCIS uses beneficiary-centric registration. Each beneficiary gets one entry per year regardless of how many employers register them.

  • Generally only via CPT (curricular practical training) tied to your program, then OPT after graduation. On-campus part-time work is allowed.
